really i just drove by there yesterday (i live around the block) and i swore it looked open and that they had shoes and stuff. i could go t ake a ride right now and let you know but i am 99% sure they are there.
i drove by there the other day too and they were there..... i was planning on going there next weekend.

I got my chapparos online, shoebuy.com. I love them. I think they tell you if the shoes run big or small. My feet generally fit into an 8 or 8.5 so I've bought online several times and never had to return shoes.

I went to Sandy's and they are very much open. They had a huge selection and were very helpful. My friend used them last year and she got her tiara and bridesmaid jewelry there too. I heard that the place that closed was in Lindinhurst, not Sandy's. Good luck.

Sandys is open, I drove by there the other day. I've gotten shoes for other things there, and they have a big selection. For the wedding I got them online at Shoes they are the most comfortable shoes!

I went to this place on Sunrise Hwy in Lynbrook, I can't remember the name, but they are 1/2 block west of Atlantic Ave. Very comfy, great price, and the best service I've found. I have used them for every shoe I need to get...The guy who does the dying is amazing - he has matched shades that other people have said that they can't (prom). THey were also great about my wedding shoes....because of my height I needed to have my shoes before I bought the dress so they could figure out if I needed extra lenghth. They only had one pair in my size but they looked like they had been tried on a hundred times, and the satin didn't look right. THey let me take those so I could try it on with my dress, and they ordered me a brand new pair. When my pair came in I just exchanged the bad ones for the good ones. No problems with it at all.

I found them on elegantbride.com They have free re-dye to black, and I saw something saying that they do bridal party discounts! They also do accessories (bags, jewelry, etc.....I've seen/used them in the past.....good stuff, highly reccommend!!)

i would just buy some pretty silver or gold shoes. i spent 80 bucks a pair of bridal shoes which i HATE now and will never wear again after the wedding.

zappos.com! The first pair I ordered didn't fit correctly, but zappos provides the return label and pays for postage back. They were SO easy to return (I just pealed off the old label, taped on the new one they emailed me and dropped it off at the local UPS store).
My now final pair is also from zappos - and I love them. Plus zappos almost always upgrades your shipping to next day or 2 day - so you get the shoes super quick at a low shipping cost

I got mine at Sandy's and i love them - the people are wonderful and i was just there last week and my FSIL just got a beautiful pair of shoes from them this weekend!! I have used them in the past and love them!!
