I had bought 144 votives (frosted) with the intention of doing the placecard votives. I changed my mind-- its just a very hectic time and I don't have anyone to hgelp out with them.

If anyone is interrsted in buying them, FM me!

They are located in NYC, so you can save on shipping if you pick up your order.

Re: Where did you purchase your votive candle/holders?

has anyone used the votive holders from cudge.net to make placecard holders? i'm asking because in the picture, it looks like the holders have a slight flare to them, so i wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with getting the vellum to lay flat against the surface. TIA!

Ahh, I promised you I'd post pics.

It was difficult, I'm not going to lie. BUT from what I've heard, that's the norm for all votive holders. I wish I had thought of it earlier, unfortunately I did not, but my suggestion is this:

Get the smallest amount of the vellum votive templates they sell at michael's (they have hearts on top, of which i'm not a big fan at all) and use that as the tracer to cut out your vellum. Those are manufactured and take into account the flare so if you go by the shape of them, you should be fine.

I did not do this and although they came out *ok*, they could definitely have been better
