i was think islip town hall...then again, my mom got mine from patchogue and i was born in good sam - west islip and lived in babylon

Call the hospital where you were born and ask them where you can get it.
Where you currently live or have lived has nothing to do with it, it comes from the town or village where you were born. Many have express service available.
Do you need it for your license? You can use your passport instead.

You need to go to the Town Hall in which you were born. You usually get it in the clerk's office. Call and find out the hours. I was born in Huntington and had no trouble getting mine. I don't know where Brunswick Hospital is but if it is in the boroughs of NYC, you can get a birth certificate from NYC Dept. of Heatlh. With them, you can order it right from their website and I think it costs $15.00. But you definately need your birth certificate to get a marriage license.

I ordered mine online. The NYC department of public health was pretty fast in getting it to me. I think it it cost about $20 if I'm remembering correctly.

I ordered mine by telephone (and I had to go through the Queens office) and I received mine in a week. I paid $33.00 for the entire thing (express delivery)
