You can anywere in the State of NY for your marriage license if you're getting married in NY. You don't have to go to the town hall where you live or where you're getting married. So pick whatever town or city hall is most convenient for your and your FH. Just make sure before you go that you know the requirements for that particular office, i.e. cost, type of currency, ID.
