Where do I take a Bfing class?

I am not sure where I look for this and when to take it.

I would ask your dr. They may have information on where you can go for that.

I'm taking one at LIJ in mid-June. DH is thrilled (not). He thought it was only for moms-to-be.

Ask your MW if Nassau Univ Med Center offers a class. Or call Le Leche League in your area, OR check the yellow pages under 'Pregnancy or Human Services.'

Edited to add - I just did a google search and came up w/this link that has tons of local resources for you:
Breastfeeding Classes and Support LINK

Also, there is a NEW breastfeeding boutique in NYC that also offers support, education and info:
The UpperBreast Side
Good luck.

Kathi - just wanted to mention....it's important for your DH to attend the BFing class...this goes for all the expectant Moms -

BFing (initially) can be challenging, and you will need your spouse to be very understanding, sympathetic and supportive in order to be successful. Make sure your husbands fully appreciate and understand the committment that you are making to your children by BFing. They need to learn the specifics too, in order to help you during the first weeks. My hubby didn't think he needed to attend the class either, but he remembered A LOT about what they told us after Paul arrived, and he was helpful to me.
