Dh and I have decided to get a painting or framed artwork as a joint- anniversary gift. I have been looking on art.com and plan to go to Home Goods as well, but wanted to know if you all have some 'hot' spots for me to check out.

Re: Where do you buy your art from?
How about the stores that I always see in the malls?? They may be a bit overpriced though.
Danielles sister picked up some nice paintings at Marshalls.
In tanger outlet there is a discount store that sells alot of Paintings at really good prices. I think it is in Tanger 1 but im not sure. They sell all types of stuff for the home too, it is not just a gallery.
Other than that, I do not know...

I've never been, but every once in a while there's an art sale at the airport hotels. I don't know what the selection is like though.

I have had luck at local fairs. There are a number of local photographers, artists and craftpersons that I like and look for at certain fairs. I have purchased a few watercolors, an oil and most recently my inlaid wood mirror.

Gallery 51 in SoHo. We just bought a Manhattan 3-D piece. Local Art Fairs are the best though!!!

I really like Rick Mundy's work. I want to get A Beach View I, II and III soon. I really like how you can arrange them in any order and they work.
