I like any fish market... preferably one CLOSE to the water who gets fresh fish daily.

I'm sure Stop n Shop have good fish - they do where i live but I don't live on L.I.

Otherwise most any 'mom & pop' fish store (ie: not a supermarket) will have fresh fish.

If you live near Long Beach or Island Park, you can try Jordan's Lobster Farm.

I second Jordans Lobster Farm...the seafood is soooooo fresh and the store is pretty big

I have never been disappointed with any fish I've gotten at John's farms on Old Country Rd. in Hicksville. It's just west of Rt. 135. Be prepared for lots of people and a great variety of fruits and veggies at terrific prices. I love that place.

If you are going to be in Montauk, there is a lot of fishing boats the come in there, you can buy fish right around teh whole Gosmanns area...

There is a fish market on Hempstead Turnpike~ironicly named Fish Market. It is across the street and a block down from King Umbertos (Franklin Square) and it has a red awning on the front. Their fish is sooo fresh and I always get good prices there!

there is a great fish place on the corner of North Pine and Broadway in N Massapequa!!
