FH and I chose a RH that was a little more expensive than we liked so we are going to try and save $$$ else where.
Here's where I am thinking: Invitations Florist Honeymoon
What about you ladies?

Re: Where do you plan on saving...
you could definitely cut the budget on the invitations... maybe DIY them, get a kit at Michaels or AC Moore, don't use a calligrapher. Invitations do not have to be over the top... honestly, besides you close family everyone is most likely just going to chuck them after the wedding and it would pain me to think of spending so much money on something that is going to be thrown away.
Florist - you could definitely find someone who would work with your budget. Check our Designs and Flowers by Gina. She gave me an amazing quote for what I was looking to do and I am definitely leaning towards booking with her.
Honeymoon - have you considered registering for your HM? A lot of people are doing that now. You could also hold off on going on your HM until a little after the wedding so you have some more time to save for it.

I hope to save on my centerpieces and flowers, I would rather spend the money on a photographer with pictures that will last forever. Also, our wedding is in the winter so we are saving there too.

I'm a winter bride too! What are you doing for center pieces? I was thinking some flowers but also candles.

I'm also a winter bride and I'm def hoping to save on CPs and flowers. I think the candles is a great idea. I kinda want candelabras with maybe just a few flowers wrapped around. Hopefully that will be cheaper than big floral tall cps.
We are also saving but doing it in the winter, not going on an expensive HM, and i hope to save on invites.

same hall and same situation for us! I'm thinking of DIYing the invites (that will be a project and half!) CPs - I'm thinking of doing all candles...prob buying all the stuff myself, but I will compare prices when I have a florist appt. Our BM said that the Bridal Attendant would set everything up for us if we decide to DIY the CPs also honeymoon - I really don't want to cut out here! According to the budget I made, I decided I'd go with a less expensive dress, but FH laughed at me when I said that idea, so we'll see where the 3rd cut comes from ughhh this saving thing is no fun!

Re: Where do you plan on saving...
We're spending a lot on the RH, but so many things are included (menus, cake, groom's cake, specialty linens, lighting and other things I can't even recall right now) it's worth the peace of mind to not have to worry about them
In addition, we will be thrifty with flowers,(cause I don't care) Invites, (can be done beautifully and relatively inexpensively), I refuse to spend a fortune on my dress (but I will still be in something beautiful), limos will be minimal and basic, we chose not to have an engagement party, and then we'll be doing a LOT of comparison shopping for entertainment and photog/video to find the best deal on the most comprehensive package. I'm toying with the idea of doing my own makeup, or asking for a gift cert for my birthday to cover it
This is the plan anyway, we'll see how it executes.

I think tapping into what your RH has to offer would help - for example for CP's... Maybe they would provide some of the flowers or the vases. Even if it hasn't been mentioned before just throw it out there and see what they say - the worst they can do is say no.

Re: Where do you plan on saving...
Me n FH are in the same boat we loved the RH so we decided to cut back and do as much DIY as possible Im going to do my own invitations Michaels n AC Moore have them for cheap and nice ones. I also amd making my own centerpieces. and I might make my own flowers Im allergic to real so I already decided to use silk I just gotta figure out if it would be a lot cheaper and worth it. I would also start picking up the forever stamps b4 the prices go up I plan on picking them up soon.

Re: Where do you plan on saving...
We are not having limos and not spending as much on invitations. We are also using alot of stuff that the RH is throwing in like the cake, place cards, table numbers and all of the decorations for the ceremony. I also dont plan on spending alot of make up
