until u get the offical license back after the wedding, most place like the bank, dmv, and social security won't change it

Bring two forms of documentation with you and go to the DMV - this is where I'm starting for my driver's license and state ID's - then I will go to the SS Office to change my name there. As for work, I will send the info to HR.

I am in the middle of this now. Like Gail said, you have to wait for your marriage license to come. Then you have to bring it to the bank, ss office, DMV, etc.

i asked the town clerk if there was anyway it could get lost in the mail for a while... ONLY JOKING...but i'm not looking forward to it.

i have to change alot since i'm moving to another state...so on top of my name, i've got to everything else! ugghhh
