Where do you think the 2012 olympics will be held? & Y
we were debating this here at work and I have no clue where it should be held. It would be good in, NY for economy. But I live near where the action is going to be, (FLushing Meadow) so I dont think I would like that.

The Olympics will be split between Flushing Meadow and the west side of Manhattan.
But NYC is not getting the olympics. I hope they do because the revenue the olympics would bring in... pays for the west side stadium... along with all the money for new housing.
They will probably go to Madrid in the end.

i believe paris and london are the frontrunners right now. of the two i would rather see it in london. don't know why. i just think it would be cool. plus if i wanted to attend i wouldn't have to deal with rude french people ha ha.
it would be great if it was in nyc. i'd be first to volunteer to do something. but 2010 is in vancouver and it's highly unusual for them to give it to north america twice in a row, although they have no problem doing in in europe. the ioc is weird that way.

i REALLY hope NYC gets it. It would dowonders for the city and the neighborhoods where all of the new construction will be. When I went to barcelona, I saw their Olympic City and it was SO beauiful and modrn and wonderful and I was told that before 1992 most of Barcelona was a complete S--thole. I think it would really do wonders for the city, and not that I love tourists, it might tell people it's safe to come to NY!
