Last week I registered at BBB. And yesterday I registered at Macy's. And I have a ton of things between both registries considering we have never lived together, or on our own, and we need everything!!! I also plan to go back to the stores and add more on.
Well my parents are obsessed with me registering at Fortunoff's. They keep pushing it on me and telling me to go there and register too because they have nice stuff. I feel like after awhile, so much of the stuff is the same in these stores.
Does anyone recommend registering at Fortunoff's in addition to BBB and Macy's?

Re: Where else to register?
If you have everything you need, you dont have to register for a 3rd place.
We first registered at Fortunoff but ended up closing it and moving everything to BBB and the overflow to Macy's instead just because we have a lot of OOT guests and currently live OOT and there is no Fortunoff out here so it was easier. Fortunoff, BBB and Macy's have a lot of similar items. I think if you are going to add a third place you should pick somewhere with items that are a little different.
We registered at Macys, BBB and Crate & Barrel. C&B has their own items that are only carried by them, which is nice. The prices are great too! Just be careful because their stock changes seasonally.
BBB - our main registry (china, everyday plates, pots/pans, appliances, kitchen accessories, etc) C&B - everyday glassware, napkins/placemats, serving pieces, and one piece of small furniture Macys - our bedding, silverware, and 2 pieces of our china that BBB doesn't carry

Don't bother with Fortunoff. Since they have declared bankruptcy, I've had nothing but problems with what is in stock. I ended up closing my registry with them and now I'm left with Macy's (since LNT is also now bankrupt).

not sure if you had your shower yet but BBB is awesome and has many items that fortunoff and LNT carried

Re: Where else to register?
OMG My grandma kept pushing me about registering at Fortunoff's and I kept telling her how all of you girls had major problems with them and she still insisted lol...she finally went there inperson and she was so surprised to see how things have changed. I registered at Crate & Barrel and Macy's and I am thinking about adding BBB just for a few items so dont worry you are not alone lol !

I registered at BBB and Macys and Crate and Barrel...it all depends on your taste and what you want...i love crate and barrel becuase it is different than the usual stuff and i know its great quality....also macys is crucial for appliances and such but also becasue there are macys all over the place....i went to go to fortunoffs and the lady was so rude to me i instant;y handed the gun back to her and walked out...all because i was in sweatpants...was she kidding me they lost out on a lot of business from my family....

OMG, what did she say to you? She really made a reference to you being in sweatpants? Did she expect you to wear a suit or a prom dress?

That is crazy! I can't believe they had the nerve to say that. Well it was stupid on their part because they've lost business from you, and I don't plan to go there now either after hearing stories from everyone. Thanks for the help!

Re: Where else to register?
Thats funny, being that a Hofstra education cost upwards of 100,000 , maybe she should have treated you a little better. Some people are SO IGNORANT. Thanks for the info, Im def not going to register at Fortunoffs!

Re: Where else to register?
Since you are doing 2 depertment type stores, I'd add more of a specilty place like sur la table, crate and barrell, pottery barn- one of those types of places. if you do fortunoffs, I'd take away one of the others- just my opinion. And if you have out of state people, they probably have never heard of fortunoffs.
