Due to an illness in the family we need to get a marriage license ASAP! Where do I go to get it? How much is it in LI? Is there a website I can go to for Nassau county info? Please help!!

You can get a marriage license at any town office (e.g. town of Hemstead, town of Islip, town of Huntington, etc.). It will cost you about $20. Good luck -
We got our at the Town Clerk's office at the Oyster Bay Town Hall. You can go to the town hall in any township - i.e., Town of Hempstead (it's in Hempstead), Town of North Hempstead, Town of Oyster Bay (in Osyter Bay), etc.
Both of you must be present. It cost $25 (we paid cash, but check with the town hall first because some only want money orders). You give name and address, SS#, parents names, etc. You sign and go. Oh, you need two forms of ID - we brought our drivers license and passports. All tolled, it took 15 minutes. There's a 24 hour waiting period after you get it, and it's good for 60 days.

They open at 8 It was $25. They even gave us a bag of household samples!
we got the bag of household items too - the best was the napkins!! We had no idea what they were until we opened them up!! The laundry detergent was needed!!
What is the address of the Hempstead town hall? and do you HAVE to have a birth certificate.. we cant find my FH.

u can go to the county clerk on old country rd in mineola or hempstead hall, i think on washington or main street ck the phone book :)
