WHERE IN NASSAU COUNTY DO YOU GET A MARRIAGE LICENSE?
I live in Queens, but I was told that it was easier to go to a Nassau GOV office to get a marriage license. Any thoughts??? How easy was it? How long did you wait? Did you go first thing in the AM? Please let me know. Thanks so much.

I checked with sister on this one. She got hers at the Town Hall in Manhasset after work and she said she didn't have to wait long at all.

You can go to the Clerk's Office at one of the Town Halls- Town of North Hempstead's office is in Manhasset, Town of Hempstead's office is in Hempstead, and the Town of Oyster Bay office is in Oyster Bay.
We went to Town of Hempstead and it took about 15 minutes.

I went to the town hall on Main Street (25A) in Huntington and we were in and out on a weekday mid-afternnon in 10 minutes.

We went to the Town Hall in Hempstead. It was pretty quick!

I went to the town hall right in Massapequea. It's on 107 right passed Jerusalem Ave. It took maybe 15 minutes.

How long before the wedding do you need to get the license?
you need to get it within 60 days prior of your wedding (its' only valid for 60 days), but you have to have it at least 24 hours before your wedding day.
