Where is everyone....................

And, is everyone having an engagement party? For those of you who are not, how are you sending out your registry info???

I had an E-party & we werent registered yet. Which was fine we received all monetary gifts. Which was very nice.

We are now registered at bbb & fortunoff.

oh yeah i forgot about a shower!
We're not sure about an engagement party yet...........i feel weird because we live together already, and I know that I'm being irrational, but i still think that some people are going to be like 'the nerve of her, having an engagement party' I know, I know, I'm being silly. And I know the engagement has nothing to do with living together.

We're registered at BBB, Fortunoffs and Macy's.

We did not have an e-party, nor are we planning on it. I think it's too much to have an e-party and a bridal shower, personally. And, FH's family and friends are all over so I feel like an e-party would mostly just be for my side. Plus, I'm busy planning a wedding...no time to plan an e-party! Ha!

We haven't registered anywhere yet. We are doing Macys and Fortunoffs. It's tough to decide on where to register because we both have our own places and already have everything you need. So, I've been trying to think up things to register for and we really don't have all that much on the list.

As far as the letting people know where we're registered, I guess my mom will put it in the shower invitations.

We're not doing an e-party. Neither one of us wanted one. Especially in this economy, I don't want people to feel obligated to give us gifts. We received lots of gifts though, which was really unexpected and very nice.

I think the concern is moreso that your wedding is June. It's basically a 6 month period for an E-party gift, Bridal Shower gift AND a wedding gift.

That might garner the 'the nerve of her' remarks more than the fact that you guys already live together. This is a tough economy, it's best to space things out.

ETA: We're registering at Crate and Barrel, Fortuneoff and Bed Bath and Beyond for our shower and wedding.

We are registered at BBB and Crate and Barrel. My registry info is going out with the shower invites and by word of mouth.

We did not have an engagement party.

Yes i definatly agree with you!
So, registering at a few different places is ok, and then you let people know for your shower?

BBB and Fortunoffs, probably adding Macys.

We had an e-party but only told people who asked. For the shower we will use the cards, but for the wedding I am directing people to our wedding website.

Macy's.
We did not have an engagement party, but we did send out engagement announcements so people asked our parents where we were registered. I guess the registry insert will be sent with the shower invites.

same exact situation with me... some people got us some very nice crystal and FH's parents said that when we decided on our china they would get that for us....

But we will be registering VERY soon at BBB, Williams & Sonoma, and already registered at Fortunoffs

I def agree with that we got engaged in sept of 2007 and had our engagement party feb 0f 08 and are getting married sept 09. We purposly did it early for that reasen. We didnt want to do it to close together. Iits a lot to ask people to spend. Especially if you only have a 6 month period
