my bm & I are talking about ideas for the bachelorette party. some friends are married with kids and some single and no kids. I am torn... part of me would love to go to the caribbean for a long weekend for sun and fun...... just don't want it to get too crazy expensive. Curious where everyone is going???

My friend suggested a weekend up at Saratoga - betting, dinner, spa the next day and we can stay at her friends lake house. I think we are leaning toward a simple night out for the same reasons.

my friends took me out in the city for an evening. We went bar hopping and to dinner and they got a limo. it was mad fun!!!

I'm all for the short getaway as well...I suggested somewhere w/ sun and beach where we could get good deals, like Mexico or DR...I'm leaving it up to them to surprise me w/ the location...all I know is the date 8/7 to 8/10...so I'll have some nice color for the wedding

those are all great ideas, thanks ladies. FH also suggested let the girls plan it..... lol sounds kinda good just kick back and relax.... Mexico could be a lot of fun!

we're doing the awesome 80s prom! I have some married with kids coming- I think it's something everyone would enjoy. We're also going out and staying over in the city.
If you want to GO somewhere, maybe a weekend in Fire Island or the Hamptons? It will be cheap to do something like that after labor day. Actually early-fall is the best time to go to the wineries in the hamptons or north fork!

I just typed out a long reply and it got erased!
They are a vendor on here under bachelorette parties and it's a show like Tony and Tina's weddiing but with characters from John Hughes movies. I'm expecting it to be super cheesy, but i love 80's music and we all plan to get dressed up.
I googled it and found a $10 off code, so prom committee tix would be $39.99 and you get free admission to Webster Hall after the show ends. Drinks are expensive though. I think there's a code out there to get special treatment for the bride too.
