we rent an apt together now in selden. after the wedding depends on where i get accepted into grad school...either locally or ideally in NC. we want to relocate to NC bc the cost of living is much less than here and i will be able to find a job much easier after i am done with school. plus, his parents just bought a townhome there. ~lacey

We did too, we bought our apt in Brooklyn two years ago.
Same here! We have been living together for almost 3 years and love our apt!! No intentions of moving any time soon

Right now we are renting out my parents home because they moved to Florida last year and we get a heck of a deal on rent... but we decided that in the next few months we are going to buy this house, live in it for 2 years then look for another one before we have children, since it's a small house with only 2 bedrooms.

We just went to contracts on a house in Nesconset.. We are hoping to go to closing in October so it gives us 8 months to fix up until we move in

as of right now we have no idea...
first we were thinking of buying a coop, but with the high maintenance fees it would not allow us to save any money...
then we were thinking of a house, but when we saw the types of houses available in our price range.... uh no way...
now we are leaning towards renting a couple of years until we save up some money.
if we can find a decent two family house that we can afford, then we would buy that...
as for where, anywhere in manhattan, queens, or nassau county :)

I bought a co-op June 2004 in Patchogue. We're living there now and probably will until after the wedding, then we'll start looking for jobs and a house in California!

We had offers from his dad to live in the lower level of their split. It involves kicking out a family member though so I won't do it. Plus no A/C and FFIL is a chain smoker and they have dogs that bark all night long...it wouldn't work. PLus FH has been robbed too many times. Who knows. We are scouting out apartments. I think I will pull up a cardboard next to PrincessButtercup.

We are hoping to buy the house right before the wedding lot's of saving for us we are also paying for the entire wedding ourselves
