We've been getting lots of 'reminders'from my Mom that we need to register - and soon....the wedding is 87 days away - a shower must be in the works, I guess!
We were thinking Fortunoffs (my FAVORITE!), and Macy's.
Where are you all registered?

Wow, i am surprised you're not registered yet with your wedding so close. we did it almost 9 months in advance and received gifts from it for our engagement, the shower and the holdays! i would do it ASAP.
We registered at Fortunoff (fine china, fine glasses, the 'fanicer' stuff)
Macy's: everyday china, appliances, sheets, pots and pans, etc.
Pampered Chef: via a consultant, but you can also do on-line www.pamperedchef.com for FUN cooking and kitchen gadgets. good luck!

Re: where is everyone registered?
Ooooh I would register soon! Especially if there is a shower planned.
Otherwise you're going to end up with like 3 toasters and 27 ugly bowls and candlesticks!
Plus, if they are going to send invitaitons they might want to include your registry information with the mailing, to spread the word.
We are registered at Bloomingdales, Fortunoff and Bed Bath and Beyond. For our engagement party, most of our gifts came from the BBB registry. Very few people bought from the Fortunoff registry.

If you decide to register at Macy's and Fortunoffs they both have a link with theweddingchannel.com and 3% of what everyone buys will go to the charity of your choice free of charge to you and to the purchaser. Check it out. I'm doing breast cancer.

Jiffy -
You are THE BEST!
That makes me SOOO happy...I am going to check that out right now....
In leiu of favors, we are making a donation to the Down Syndrome Advocacy Foundation (near & dear to my heart...I am actively involved with them - they have passed along so much incredibly helpful info to me - my little guy has Down syndrome)
3% of what everyone buys, on top of our donation, is just so cool....and makes me so happy -
thanks for sharing the info, Nic!

Yeah, the donation is a cool thing that they do!
I think its only for purchases made online though, not ones made in the store (I might be wrong). But every bit certainly helps!

yup - purchases have to be made thru weddingchannel.com from your store registry.....and you get to pick from the charities they have listed....
they didn't have the organization I mentioned before, but I selected the Special Olympics to get 3% of all that is spent on my registry thru their site.
they create a cute email for you to send to family & friends letting them know you're doing this...very cool!

Re: where is everyone registered?
Bed Bath and beyond. Considering Fortunoffs also. I would love to register at Williams and Sonoma but is it ridiculous to register at more than two places?
I would feel like i was sticking business cards in to my invitations. how would you do this?

Re: where is everyone registered?
So...we registered at Fortunoffs last night.
On Saturday, we're checking out Macy's and BBB, see which one is the best for us....since everyone else here loves BBB, we just have to see for ourselves!
Thanks for all the great advice, ladies...I knew you wouldn't let me down!
