Where is everyone taking their pictures?

I was planning on going to Eisenhower Park to take pictures because I have a couple hours between my ceremony and reception. However, I went there this weekend and the pond is not as nicely landscaped like it was last year. Anyone have suggestions for outdoor pictures? I am getting married in Westbury and the reception is at the Milleridge in Jericho.......

We took ours at Old Westbury Gardens which was absolutely gorgeous. Problem is that it is not exactly inexpensive. Turns out it was worth it, though.

Lee, I was actually thinking about that. Do they have an indoor area if it rains?

A photographer we met with suggested the Planting Fields in Brookville. The pictures in their sample albums looked very nice...they had garden paths, a castle like building to take pictures in front of and one of those paths with the overhead trellises (sp?). The fee is $95. They also mentioned that there is a greenhouse they sometimes sneak into but you could ask about getting a permit to let you inside without problems. That may be more money though.

If it rains, you have two options - you can either call ahead and cancel your appointment and get some kind of refund, or I believe they let you use the porch of the mansion. They have a website www.oldwestburygardens.org. and it might have some info on the rain policy. Be prepared for a lot of walking if you go there - there's a lot of ground to cover!
