That's too funny! I love throwing things away, too! I can't stand the feeling like my closets or house is cluttered up with lots of stuff I really don't need. Throwing things out makes me feel so much lighter! Makes the house feel cleaner, too.

Jamie I hope so too!! I still have so much to do. I swear I do not think that this man threw a single thing away in his whole life!! He keeps everything forever!! I have stopped asking him if he wants to keep things because he will say yes to everything. I have to sneak junk into the garbage.
Karen I would be the happiest woman in the world if DH would go away for a week and leave me with a dumpster!!! He knows better though!!!

I'm not kidding!! Gene's parents built this house and he has never lived anywhere else. Since he has never moved he has no clue how much stuff he really has!! Plus I guess his parents were packrats too. I have been getting rid of stuff a little at a time for the last 6 years and there is still no end in sight!
What makes it worse is that when I moved in I had my own accumulation of stuff. So that added to the chaos. I am planning on having a huge yard sale this fall and make lots of cash!!!

Ugh! My DH is a pack rat. When he sees something he likes, he buys TWO of them, just in case. In case of what, I have NO idea!!
When he was single, his best friend and him used to have contests to see who could spend the most money! Can you imagine! I think that's nuts!!!
Most of the time if he needs a gift for someone, he can find something brand new in his attic! It's terrible. He's promised to get rid of a lot of it on E-bay or a yard sale before we get a new house. I'm definitely going to hold him to it.
I can't STAND clutter!!!!!

Karen..he must know my husband!! Either that or it's a guy thing. 'Just in case' is Gene's favorite thing to say. That and 'You never know when you might need it' or 'Hey I can fix that(or take it apart) and use it again'. Then it just sits and sits and sits! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I tell him he has so much stuff that even if he needs something he will never find it to use it again. He even checks batteries that he takes out of something and if they have a little bit of power he will put them back in the drawer!!! What am I going to do with a half dead battery! I wait til he walks away, get it back out of the drawer and throw it out!!!!

lol Wendy! I work at home, and he works crazy hours, so hopefully I'll have a lot of time in the house alone to do some 'weeding' in the attic! Or at least in the drawers....

Karen that's what I did. We worked opposite schedules for several years so I would come over during the day while he was at work, throw a bunch of stuff in garbage bags and take them back home with me!! That way he couldn't look inside them and take anything out!! That was before we were married. I have to be sneakier now because I have no place else to take it!!!

Unfortunately.........I am here No AC tonight. We went with our better judgement and decided to stay home. We decided instead to not go out of our way, but to go to Foxwoods when we go back to MA on Thursday How is everyone?????
