I was just looking at mlsli and there are a ton of co-ops and condos there. I'm a western nassau girl and haven't heard of Middle Island. where is it? What are the surrounding towns?

It's actually in the middle of the island (hence the name!). DH used to live there and always made this comment when people asked where he lived (he's a dork! ). It's exit 64 on the LIE. Some surrounding towns are Coram, Port Jeff, Patchogue-south though, Ridge. Having trouble thinking today. I can't come up with more towns right now!

I always see the Co-ops too, I want to go & check out the area where they are one day b/c they are reasonabled priced compared to what i usually see. Some parts I know aren't that nice surrounding there, not too famliar w/middle island but I think they are gated communties which may help..

ha ha I figured it was in the middle of the island, but sinc eI'm so far west, right on the queens border, Huntington seems like the middle of the island to me! That's why I was wondering what other towns are around there for frame of reference! My grandmother used to live out in Ridge so that helped me get an idea about where it is. Thanks for the info girls!
