Where is the best bridal registry? Why?

What store was your favorite place to register and why?

My vote goes to Bloomingdales. My fiance and I went there last night and loved it. They had a special event for all Brides to Be. They walked around with wine and snacks as music was playing in the background. On top of it, we got this amazing bag of goodies. It was quite the experience!

I definitely plan to register with Bloomingdales. And Bed, Bath and Beyond. I think that's it.

I registered at Fortunoff and they had the same kind of event, with all these vendors and it was fun, plus I think their stuff is beautiful. I'm sure Bloomies is too though!

I'm also going to do BBB for my kitchen gadgets and things like that.

I registered at BBB and LNT. At both stores you can find everything you need but I liked some things better at one store than the other like I picked my bedding from LNT and my everyday plates at BBB. I signed both me and FH on both mailing lists because they accept each others coupons (even if they are expired) so we are stocking up! LOL

I didn't register at Macys but you can get some great sales there!

I dontl ike shopping at Bloomies but I think I may want to reg there. Also I love Fortunoffs

I registered at Bloomingdales. I love their customer service. The girl who helped me there always replies to my emails. It's nice to have just one person working with you and responding promptly when you have questions. Plus, I have an item I received about 6 months ago from my registry that I want to return. They have no problem letting me return for exchange or credit.

As much as I looooove Crate & Barrel I would say BBB is def the best place to register!

--- things are rarely discontinued
--- there is a BBB near everyone! even out of NY
--- they will accept expired coupons, and coupons from Linens and Things (even expired) so you can accumulate them and use them on everything
--- if you forget your coupon you can bring back your receipt and they will do a price adjustment
--- great return policy - if it's on your registry you get full cash price back (even if your guests probably bought it with a coupon). if not, you get store credit but when you use a store credit you get the balance back in cash
--- pretty good selection
--- generally helpful people
--- they will match promotions (ex: when fortunoff was having a promotion to get a free soup bowl with your china they matched that, and then still applied their own 'free $50 gift card when you spend $200' promotion AND 20% off!)

Their biggest downside is that they don't carry everything we would want, and that they do a shittty job packing things. We have had 2 broken place settings, a broken sugar bowl, a broken creamer, and a broken soup bowl. Luckily they have that good return policy!

At first i was all against BBB
i went to fortunoffs and found them to be really unhelpful

so i finally decided to give BBB a try and absolutely loved it! I had NO problems with my registry (no doubles or anything like that) and the people there were soooooo helpful!
They also have great return policies

I registered at Fortunoff and at Macy's.

Macy's sent two items to my house instead of to the gift givers. Good thing I knew about my shower, but the gift givers didn't know that I knew.
One item was duplicated on the registry.

No problem with Fortunoff.

Both registries let you buy the remaining stuff at 10% off the price, within a set time from the wedding date.
I joined Fortunoff's Dream Club, so I earned points on what givers bout me, in addition to what I buy with my Fortunoff card.

We have had a fantastic experience with crate and barrel. We're also registered at BBB but found that registering there was kind of a pain because the woman was SO up our butts about everything even though we knew exactly what we wanted. At C&B they just handed us a scanner and a list of frequently registered items and let us wander around as long as we wanted. If I had to do everything at BBB again I'd just register online.

I love C&B, I am obsessed with glassware and want to own everything in their store. Not a single piece has broken in shipping. My only complaint with them is that things are discontinued VERY regularly (like half of our registry!) so we ended up buying a lot of stuff ourselves before it sold out. A lot of things on our registry are on backorder now too...

I reccomend Macy's to everyone...they have an AWESOME rewards program. DH & i ended up with around $400 on a gift card - and they also give tons of other perks for gifts that werent yet purchased, etc... lots of good stuff to check out. I also registered at BB&B mainly 'cause they have a bunch of fun stuff & u can get cash back on returns. I got most of my fancy shmancy stuff & linens over at macys, while we got our bedding & fun gadgets & decor over at BB&B - worked out great for us
