FH and I are looking into a Christmas vacation with the dolphins. Obviously we won't be able to go to some remote exotic location but we were thinking Mexico? Bahamas? Anyone done this?

My mom swam with the dolphins at Atlantis in the Bahamas. She said it was definately worth the money.

Hawks Cay in the Florida Keys is a great family resort with all osrts of activities including Swimming with the Dolphins.

I wanted to do this over my vacation, however, you have to book like a month in advance. In the keys there is Dolphin World and Theater By The Sea. Also I even think @ SeaWorld you can swim.
ETA: Dolphin Research Center.

We did a dolphin encounter on our honeymoon. It was awesome. You can swim with them too! We were at the Grand Bahama Island. We stayed at Our Lucaya Resort. I can't wait to go back we had so much fun, but yet relaxed all at the same time.

I did it in Cancun at Xel Ha. On Grassy Key, on the way down to key west, there is the Dolphin Research Center, where you can also swim with them.

you cna do it in many parts of florida. We plan to do this on our honeymoon. I think there's a way to do it through disney

There is a place called Discover Cove in Florida near Orlando...and you can go there and smin with the dolphins.

Discovery Cove in Orlando; Cancun; Bahamas; Hawaii; Ocho Rios in Jamaica...that is just off the top of my head...

Bahamas is a great place. THe island I did it on was called Easter Island. YOu need to stay in Nassau to do it there.

We did ours from Nassau Bahamas on our HM on Blue Lagoon Island. The Swim encounter was $150PP I think, maybe a little more. It was a lot of fun. Do your research on which place gives you the most time with the Dolphins for your money.
ETA_ this is the one closest to Atlantis in the Bahamas..Atlantis doesnt have one yet ( though they are talking about having one in the future) ..The Atlantis trip is to Blue Lagoon Island.
