I am using excel and think it is the easiest. You can organize it any way you want and add or delete columns, have it do the adding for you, etc..

Excel and you can always mail merge addresses to word to create labels.

OK, I'm in Excel and I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to do this...

Should I have columns for
-TITLE,
-FIRST NAME
-LAST NAME
-(and guest if it applies)
-STREET
-CITY
-STATE
-ZIP

Every time that I try to sort it by last name it gets messed up! Ack!

You have to select 'all' when sorting.

When you sort the columns, do it by the column letter on the top and not the actual title of it.

What happens when you try to sort by last name?

I also have columns for # invited (for when I was doing invitations) and # attending (final head count)..there may be an easier way to do those, I'm not sure

Ok, I think I've got it!

I click on 'Last Name' and go to Sort and it seems to work out!

Thanks!

I also added a column for a headcount.

when you sort in excel you have to highlight the entire spreadsheet and then go to data at the top and choose sort, it will ask you which column you want to sort on. if you try to do this without highlighting everything you will only sort the column u choose and it will mess up the rest of your info.

excel...u are limited to what you can do with address templates in Word...

Excel will give you flexibility along with being able to print a nice spreadsheet to track whose responses you got back, who gave gifts, etc..

I agree--Excel all the way for everything addresses, RSVPs, thank yous, gift list, etc, etc....
