Where is the Flower District in NYC?

Anyone know? I need roses for my e-party and would rather make the centerpieces myself. Plus I need rose petals.

Not 100% sure but I think its down in the 20's on 7th.

The flower district begins on or around 23rd St. between 6th and 7th Ave's. If you go and walk around that area, you'll find tons and tons of flowers, plants, etc.

I work in NYC and whats considered the Flower District is on 23rd and b'way (and 6th ave), but that is more for wholesale.

Wholesale as in you need a tax id. or Wholesale as in buy in quantities of a dozen? I used to work around that area but I never knew there was such a thing as the flower district!
On Bway are the wholesale places that consumers can go in to and shop so I am hoping I can do the same with the flowers.
