How does one save almost $15,000 in less than 1 year. I am ready to lose my mind already!!!

WITH A LOW BASE SALARY AND BONUSES... ITS HARD BUT THE BONUS IS GOOD BECAUSE IT ALL GOES IN THE BANK...

You cant think of it as a lump sum savings...as time goes and you make your payments it'll get easier...I was soooo freaked out by the whole thing but then as we started booking vendors and making our payments, it all just becomes another bill...

we both got 2nd jobs
Put our self on a budget
Opened to different saving accounts 1 house account 1 wedding account so we dont spend too much of one or the other
were staying at home until a few mts before the wedding cause 15,000 isnt going to cut it

we opened a separate account for the wedding...We put X amount of money in there each week and a HUGE chunk of FH's commission checks would be deposited in there...

We have $20,000 already but I am assuming we need about $15,000 more. I have saved $1,400 already, but I just keep stressing.
I am going to do extra activities at school to add to the acct.
I want to lose weight too, so I started this savings trick where each time I go to the gym or workout I put $2 in savings, same for FH when we go together. It's not much but it's easy to save a few dollars extra.

We opened a joint savings account and each of us has a portion of our paychecks deposited into it automatically. It really keeps you from spending it. We only take $$ out for vendor payments.

I am fearing this too!!!!
I work a 2nd job, but it's only 1 day per week and it's $65.
We try so hard to budget, but between rent and utilities and unexpected expenses, it's NOT easy. I have $50 per pay check (bi-weekly) put in a savings acct, but it's still not enough.
We did get $ from our e-party, but used it all up making deposits and payments.

All I have to say is thank God for credit cards!!!
So far half of our deposits have been by credit card, the others by check. Our hall worked out a payment plan with us so we don't get killed the month before the wedding, but we're going to get killed anyway from all the other vendors that need to be paid then!!! I'm almost tempted to pay everyone in installments!!
(This is partly why I picked late April, our income tax checks will be in by then and will go directly to the remaining balances of our vendors!!)

So far we've been saving well, in addition to putting down our deposits. I was able to pay my 1/2 deposit on my dress in full, which is always a good feeling. We just cut corners and budgeting more. So far, I've been trying to put away $1,000 a month. I couldn't do it this month because I had to pay my dress deposit, but I'm sure I'll be able to make it next month. Getting my bonus at work helps too!

I pretty much bank a majority of my pay check with direct deposit and keep little money to myself. When I do need more money, I ask FH who is paying the bills... This seems to be working for us as we have been doing really good so far...

We both have 2 jobs. We're not going out as much anymore. I don't shop that often. It's tough at first but you become used to it. We've already paid 1/3 of the photographer, 1/2 to the hall, and my dress is paid in full. I am trying to pay for whatever I can in cash. Otherwise I charge it and pay the bill in full when it comes.

I am trying to do the paying in cash thing. I already have credit card bills to pay off, but I am trying to chip away at them slowly and not trying to add to the deposits.
I got my dress at Davids and they have no interest for 12 months, so I am trying to put at least $100 a month that way it will be paid off by April.
I feel ok since we made our band deposit and photographer deposit, but we honestly don't know if we can afford a honeymoon.

Hang in there. It's tough, but you can do it. if I can, you can, LOL. I have a pretty shi**y paying job....and I only get paid once a month..Me and my fiancee opened up an acccount 3 weeks after we got engaged and we have been saving. Our E party helped A LOT too...So far we have almost 17K-and our wedding is almost a year away...it's tough, stick in there!

15,000????? It's much more than that!!! And I am not even a bride that goes all out!!! I wish it were only 15,000 but that alone just covers the hall. It's more like 30,000............ and I ahve no idea where we ar getting if from , b/c no one is paying for it but us.

Let me clarify, we recieved $20,000 from my parents which I thought was very generous. It covers the hall. How much for everything else?
