Where should i buy curtains/drapes for our bedroom?

Hi Ladies,

Where should i go for curtains/drapes? My bedroom furniture is pretty formal...we bought nice rods from Pottery Barn, but now i need curtains/drapes.

Should I look in Fortunoff????
Where else??

Thanks!

JC Penny Home Store...Most of my curtains are from there.

The Curtain Store on Sunrise Highway (Massapequa?) has a good selection. Fortunoffs and JC Penny's have a lot too. Dont forget to take a look at Target. Decent quality and selection.

Can you tell I just did this run this past weekend

There is a place in Patchogue - they may have other locations to, I am not sure.
Marburn Curtain. 631-475-8436, they have a decent selection but not as much as linens and things

The curtains we have have been purchased at at Linens & Things, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sears and Pottery Barn. My Mom just checked out the Curtain Store on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa and she said they have beautiful stuff.

I just had custom curtains made at Calico Corners. THey were pretty pricey since they were custom made, but they are beautiful!

Not really sure how this store's curtain prices compare .. but wanted to share my recent experience with them ...

About a month ago .. I found a pretty comforter set (including the Queen comforter, 2 shams and bedskirt) .. for $19.99. (Got this at Linens N Gifts on Route 110 in Farmingdale - near Adventureland.

Just the other day .. while on my way to Linens N Things (Stonybrook) .. I passed by Marburn Curtain, and made a quick turn to check them out .. well .. they had the same comforter .. but just the comforter .. for $54.99!!!!!

By the way .. the curtains I picked up at Linens N Things were only $9.99 .. I love them .. they look awesome in our dining room .. and I'm waiting for a set to come for the living room in another color that the store didn't have .. though I did buy the one panel they had in that color .. in the wrong size .. and my sweet mother is going to make pillows for me .. and valances for our glass block windows! They are so worth the $9.99!!

I love Fortunoff and JCPenney's for curtain, drapes.

Design Expo (division of home depot) has a nice curtain and curtain rod selection - especially if you have large rooms - some of them are very dominant pieces that need high ceilings.

Home Depot and Lowes also have curtains and blinds.

I also second the votes for Linens & Things - watch for their discount coupons - they also accept Bed Bath and Beyond coupons.

Don't forget the Pottery Barn outlet at Tangers Outlet Mall in Riverhead too.

I haven't been yet. But I got a flyer today from JCPenneys and they're having a huge sale on this stuff tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.
