where should i go???

where should i go???

going out this saturday for my bday (was 2 weeks ago). want to go into the city. a cool bar that has good music that you could dance to or a bar/club type place but definately not huge club with girls running around half naked. sorrrry, lol

suggestions? what are your favorite places??

What about Slate? There are pool tables and more of a lounge-y feel downstairs and a dance floor upstairs. I always have fun when I go there b/c it's like the best of both worlds.

session 73 has always been a favorite of mine


omg go tooooooooometro 53 /opal and that other bar i forget the name.. its red... i love it there.!!! ugh itll come to me

there's a new place that opened up called 'Spin' which is similar to Slate, except it has ping pong tables. a friend just rented a few tables for her bday, and it was actually a lot of fun. no dancing though.

thank you! so after doing some research, i also found bar 13, stir, joshua tree, katwalk, sutton place.

ive been to glass and tonic east but i was completely waisted so maybe thats why i liked them...never started a night at them

any opinions on these places?

FH's sister had her 30th B-day at Sutton Place. There were a lot of us so we were able to buy bracelets to drink for a certain amount(don't remember how much though). They roped off the back so we had it to ourselves. It was a lot of fun.

I've been to Sutton Place a few times (love it!) and Joshua Tree...but I don't really remember Joshue Tree

I know one of the owners at this place - its a lot of fun, definitely check it out!

There's a really swanky place I think on route 110 in Mellville called 4 Lounge. My FBIL and his wife went there last week, and they are always going to the hip places (lucky ). Anyway here is a site with pics.

We just went to our friend's 30th birthday at Pranna this past weekend - good drinks, lounge-y atmosphere, dancing, fun music - its at 28th and Madison.

One little west 12th in the meatpacking is a great trendy place!

Manahatta is a cool place - it's downtown.
