Re: Where should I go for Tuxedos?
i do not know where you live but we went to sal's on boardway in massapequa. my brother and friends all used him for proms. he has designer tuxes. (I think they got a perry ellis) i do not recommend county tuxedos if yo uare looking for a better quality tux. i believe it is called. they have a few locations they have one style tux and that is it.

I was originally going to use Victor Talbots but I've heard so many horror stories about them lately, so now I'm using the tux place on Bell Blvd. next to Tiger Schulmann's. I forget the name of it, but I've gotten very good feedback on it.

DH went to Bonaventure in Garden City. His BM used them for his wedding as well. They had a big selection, tailor on the premisis and no hassles.

Yes! We aren't using them for our wedding but fiance' was a BM in a wedding that used them. One thing after another went wrong. I know their prices are reasonable, but so not worth it. Two of the vests and ties were wrong, my fiance' had the wrong pants (they were supposed to be wearing mourning suites and he was given regular pants, but he didn't know that until he showed up for the wedding). Half the guys tuxes didn't even fit right. It was just a very bad experience.
We are using Tuxedo Park in Carle Place. They are next door to Bridal Reflections, but aren't affiliated. They have a wonderful selection and have a more high-end line.

FI and I went to the one in Roosevelt Field, and they were too busy to help us. Then I heard that my cousin had a lot of problems with them.
We went to Men's Wearhouse in Bayside. We went there because most of the men are out of town, and this way they can order the tuxes near where they live. Also the woman we dealt with was super-nice- I think her name was Joanna.

Re: Where should I go for Tuxedos?
Yikes! They wanted to charge us the same as the GMs for ringbearer tuxedos which i thought was ridiculous considering how little they are. Too late now for me to change but I will make sure we pick everything up early and have them try everything on in the store. Thanks for the warnings!

Re: Where should I go for Tuxedos?
Feldman Esquire. Merrick or Lynbrook. We used both. Some people were closer to Lynbrook some to Merrick. They were extremely accomodating and very helpful. And the bargain we got was great. We had 11 guys that needed tuxes, including the dads, and with 11 rentals, three were free and we got shoes, the tux, vest and tie for $107, including tax!!

Foresto's on Willis Avenue in Mineola. It is a diamond in the rough. Family owned. Reasonably priced. Excellent tailoring. Been there for years.

FI went around to a few places with his brother. They decided on Tuxedo Park in Carle Place. The quality of the tuxes are great - almost new, the service has been awesome. My dad picked his up last night and had no problems at all.

Re: Where should I go for Tuxedos?
Stay far far away from After Hours (same owners as David's Bridal) it's like a factory...some of the Brides on here recommended me to Zeller-Dante in Westbury, nice shop but pricey we wanted a designer Jean Yves Mirage brand new tuxedo they wanted $850 for the tux nothing else we purchased online for complete package deal:tux, vest, shirt, cravat, pocket handkerchief (not needed), jewelry (shirt studs and cufflinks 2 sets), socks, and garment bag for $450...best deal ever deliviered in 3 days no problem, my babe got exactly what he wanted!
