Any suggestions? I generally go for clean, simple looks... I like the pocketfolds, maybe a ribbon... Also, when should I get the invitations for my September wedding?

I second Lindas Lovelies. She is great and she has a ton of invitations for you to choose from, plus she discounts her invites.

We got ours at Lion in the Sun in Huntington, on Main Street. They were really helpful and I couldn't have been happier the way they turned out.

Look at rexcraft.com, you can order 3 free samples! Get their catalog its GREAT!!! XOXOXOXO Kitty
We had ours custom made so we ordered 8 months in advance. If you're not getting custom I think that 4 months ahead should be fine

You can try Hallmarks also. I know I have seen a few Hallmarks in the NY that had a line of invitations.

Re: Where should I go to look at invitations?
i did the pocketfolds!! It was the best part of my wedding planning so far!
I would go to mygatsby.com, Jeanm.com, envelopments.com.
I went to Lion in the Sun in Huntington...but they are kinda slow and things were not getting done..
I ended up using invitations and beyond and they were great. I spent $1,500.00 for 100 pocketfold invites...but they are so beautiful and everybody loved them. Ask for Jessica...she is good with email too.

Re: Where should I go to look at invitations?
I got mine (pocketfolds, very clean looking) from www.notfromabox.com. I found nice invites on www.einvite.com as well - and that's a friend of mine ordered hers. She was really happy with them. I also saw cute ones on My Gatsby.

I got mine at Patchogue Floral Fantasyland. Very simple, clean invites and very inexpensive. They have hundreds of designs to look at and my invites were ready less than a week after I ordered.
