Where should we do our precana?

We are not getting married in a church but we are getting married by a catholic priest and we need to copmlete precana. We don't belong to a church - does anyone have any recommendationd on where to go near Smithtown/Commack or other Suffolk County locations? Thanks!

I am not sure if Suffolk is the diocese of Rockville Center- but you might want to contact them because they run a bunch of precana programs where you are done in two days . I know my friends did their precana someplace out there (not their own church)- It was one weekend- they did not have to stay over or anything.

Contact the Diocese of Rockville Center (yes that's the diocese for that area) and you can probably knock it out in one shot. We are getting married in Commack but are doing pre-cana in Queens (Brooklyn Diocese) on a Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Family Center in Douglaston (or something like that - we did not have to be members in the Brooklyn Diocese, so I am assuming you do not have to be members in the RVC Diocese.). Give them a call - I'm sure they'll be happy to help you.

Just so you know its $250 for pre-cana in RVC diocese. More than may other dioceses it seems. I am hoping to be able to do pre-cana elsewhere.

Wanda, mine is $85- St. Boniface in Elmont. It can't be the fee for the diocese, it must vary church to church.

I'm also the Diocese of RVC and we're paying $20pp. That is for three weekday nights and one Sunday mass.
