Where to begin?
Jsabbatino- Hi! I am also getting married at The Somerley. We haven't reserved rooms yet and now I am a little concerned. What did they make you guarantee at the Inn? A certain amount of people?

The room block cut-off date is four weeks prior to the arrival date. A credit card is required to guarantee 60% of the rooms blocked in total. If less than 60% of the room nights are reserved from the block at the time a month prior to your wedding date your credit card will be charged. We counted all of our out of town guests and then with our friends that are definitely staying. To those that we asked in advance and were told they don't know just yet, they have a month prior to reserve a room.
They actually upped the guarantee to 70% of the rooms recently and the minimum is 10 rooms. We were able to get it at the 60% because the banquet manager accidentally told me 60% and when I let the inn know thT they revised the contract to 60%
Congratulations!! Def. start a guest list so you have an idea how many people you are going to have. The first question they ask is how many people do you plan on having? Then def. look into the venues :)
