Where to block rooms with a Woodlands reception?

Where to block rooms with a Woodlands reception?

Any suggestions for hotels close to The Woodlands in Woodbury for blocking hotel rooms? Anyone have quotes for an August wedding?
I've gotten quotes from $145-$165 but I was really hoping to keep costs lower for OOT.

Thanks!

we did the best western, it is across the street..i think the rooms are like $119 + if you let them know in advance they will provide a shuttle to and from the reception for your guests which is pretty cool....

Thanks! I'm definitely an LI Wedding newbie. I've been a 'lurker' for a few months, until Katie&Chris2006 called me out on it.

I just got married at the woodlands this past weekend.....it was phenomenal! We booked a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites on Round Swamp Rd. in Plainview. It took 5 minutes to get to The Woodlands. The rooms were wonderful, they include a very nice continental breakfast and we reserved the Melville Room, which is their conference room for the evening before the wedding from 5 -11 pm and catered in food to meet and greet our out of town guests. Maureen is the woman who helped us and she was extremely accomodating. Feel free to FM me with any ?'s about the Homewood Suites or the Woodlands. Good luck

The nice thing about the Executive Inn is that they have a free shuttle to and from the wedding as many trips necessary. No other place had a free shuttle. Their prices are cheap too. They arent as nice as other places but those are pretty good perks.

we did the same thing! call the Best Western and ask for Jessica, she's the group sales manager.

I didn't like the Best Western. The rooms are small and the smoking rooms smell horrible.
FH is a smoker so we had to book one when we stayed there in February. I came this close to sleeping in the car because of the smell, but it was too darn cold.

Sheraton Four Points (exit 48)
Melville Marriott (exit 49)
Both are really easy to get to, maybe a 10 minute ride.
Fox Hollow is pricy. Executive Inn is a good deal and close by.

we just went to the 4 points shearaton and it was very nice, clean and good lighting. rooms were pretty spacious. they quoted me $139 for a block or rooms, and a 14 person shuttle for an addt'l $500-575
