I'm going to bring my 2 kids to get their portraits done - Where do you think is the best place to take them? I've taken Jordan to Sears and JC Penney and they seem to be about the same quality - any opinions?

I've taken Jenna to Sears for her Christmas and Easter pics and was very happy with the portraits. I also did Target for some pics for my husbands birthday and they came out really cute too-they posed her naked in a diaper in rose petals-very cute. I wish my scanner was working so I could scan them

i just brought my son to babies r us for an easter picture and they came out really cute !! They have the Kiddie Kandids section in BRU where you can take pictures there for any occasion and pick the background you want. My sister gets her son's pictures there done all the time and they come out really good!

That's who I was going to recommend. I brought Cassidy there for the first time a few weeks ago and they were really good

Picture People in the mall is usually very good. They take your pictures and have them printed and ready to show you within an hour.

I used to work at Sears. I think it's very good!
If you go, go to Garden City (Where I used to work) or Hicksville. If you request a certain photographer, they'll usually accomodate you. If you go to GC, ask for April. She's the manager she's really SO good.
And they have really great deals. Get coupons before you go

Do you have any local photo shops? You would be surprised at how great some of them are and they don't rush you through because others are waiting in line.

I tried a LOAD of places... My favorites were at Olan Mills, but they were EXPENSIVE....
I have been taking Alex to wal-mart and the pics come out REALLY nice, you get a ton of pics for very little-- the portrait package is only $4.88 and then I buy about 50 portrait cards and some extra photos and with everythiong walked away well under $50..Including tax...
I went to sears and JCPenney, and they are abotu the same quality... Try it at least once, and if youre not happy go bnack.. its a deal worth trying!!
