I want to get a futon to use as a couch that can be used for guests if we have a lot of people staying with us. We will have a bed in the guest room so I don't want to get another bed. I went to one store that doesn't really have what I'm looking for. I'm in the Setauket/Port Jeff area.

There is one on 112 In the Coram area where we got ours! It wasnt cheap but its really a nice looking & comfortable one!!

I got mine in Oceanside, on Long Beach road. It costed $350 and it came with a really thick mattress. The frame is made out of Maple. It is very important when buying one that you make sure you are getting a good thick mattress. The cheaper futons have junky mattresses on them, that is why they are so cheap.

we got ours at bjs - the wood frame one but you can also check out walmart, target, etc...there is a futon store down pt in pt jeff on 112/main street but its very $$$ and we didn't find it worth it!
