Where to draw the line with guest list??

Where to draw the line with guest list??

Ok so as some of you may know I work in a clothing store and was very worried about my coworkers(other managers) not being able to come

(I should probably say that I have know majority of these peopel 5-8 years and they are like my second family - strange but true)

I am happy to say we spoke to my District Manager and she gave the ok to get coverage so all the managers can come

My question is where do I draw the line with the employees? There are so many I'd love to have. Should I just invite those I've known for 5+ years? Should I just invite the managers? I don't want to hurt peoples feelings here by inviting almost everyone except for a few. Not sure I know I still have time to think about this but would love feedback...

i would say stick to one group-like all the managers or none of them..i think its the most delicate way to handle it

I would invite all the managers and the few others you speak to and hang out with outside of work.

I also agree, stick with managers, otherwise it could be really difficult to draw the line with employees.

I would invite manager's and anyone you might have hung out with out of work, like those you have found a real friendship with.

I would just stick with one group the managers, this way if you don't invite all of the employees no ones feelings will be hurt

This is what I would do:

Think about - hypothetically- if you were to leave that job (on good terms). Who would you remain friends with? Invite them. Those are the people who will be in your life for the long haul.

I'm in the same delimena.. its like invite all of none right? But its soo hard to do- b ut like inviting all means them+ husbands and wives+ do I really want all these work people there at this intimate moment in my life? Not really.. I'm still undecided but just go with your gut.. I think I'm goign to invite one that i'm really close with and noone else...but it really depends. 5-8 years is a long time, I will only know these people for 2 years.

I would stick with the Managers and if you pick some employees that your are very close to at least you can justify that. I understand that you dont want to hurt peoples feelings.
