I only need about 50 of them for the out of town gift bags. Where can I find these online for a reasonable price? So far, everywhere I looked had them for a nice price but the shipping and personalization fee was over $100 alone.

Have you tried Vista Print? Also, David's Bridal usually has 20% off sales on gifts. I got personalized glass beer mugs for our groomsmen for about $10 each and they are very good quality.

what about getting mugs at the dollar store and having someone (who is artistic obviously ) paint them?

This will be a big pain IMO! I got to go cups from BBB for my favor and they were in boxes and we wrapped them individually and it took forever so I can't imagine painting something on the cups!

It comes out to about $3 a mug if you get plain white mugs and only one imprint color.
yeah but its a $50 flat fee to personalize them and like $60 or more to ship....depending on how many you get.

understandable. but if she wants them personalized it's probably the cheapest (not most sane) option

Yes, but spread across 50 glasses that doesn't add up to that much. (Those costs were included in the appox. $3 per mug.)
The beer mugs cost a little more, but if you do simple pint glass, it's still under $4 per glass. If you play with the settings, the site gives you a total with the glasses, the $50 personalization fee, and shipping within NY, so you can calculate what the price per glass is.
