I have my first fitting on Monday and need to get one of those bras you wear under your dress (I'm not sure what it's called.) Anyone have any recommendations in Nassau?

Re: Where to get a bra?
There's a place in Massapequa called Georgettes (can't spell it) that Bridal Reflections recommends. They're on Hicksvill road right across the street from Grummans. I got mine there... when you first walk in you think it's for all old ladies, but they have tons of stuff in the back they bring out to you.

Highly worth the wait, but I recommend Mary's in Woodbury, near Plainview...alterations while you wait and great attention..bring a pic of your dress and enjoy!

I second Georgettes! I was having a horrible time finding something on my own, I went in there and basically said 'Help!' and before I knew it she found a bra that fit me perfectly for the dress.

I went there and they were awesome! There is a place - Blums in patchogue but the people there were SOOOOOOOOO rude. If you are going to go to Mary's I would go on a weekday in the afternoon. The first time i went on a Weekday when they opened and I waited for 2 hours!

I went to Marys in Woodbury too. Although the line was long, they were very good and helpful.

Re: Where to get a bra?
The BEST longline bra that I have ever tried on or used is the Felina seamless longline bra - I got mine at David's Bridal believe it or not and it's SOOOOOO good. Seriously, try it.

Yikes, sorry you had a bad experience at Blums! MIL and I both got our bras there, and they were really sweet and helpful. I was totally against wearing a long-line bra b/c they've all been so uncomfortable, but the woman helping me told me it's because I was wearing the wrong size all these years! The one she found (and I bought) fit great and really worked with the dress.
