Well, my dress isn't even in yet but everyone's yelling at me to book alterations! So... where can I book that has late (after 6:30 p.m.) or weekend hours (On LI) and isn't mega expensive And what are the time frames for the fittings? I feel like I'm missing question...

I made my alteration appointment a few months beforehand. Depending on where you go, there can be a long wait. I am using David's Bridal and they book up fast. Call the place you decide to use, I don't have any recommendations, and see what they say. I went 2 months before for my 1st fitting.

i just did my alterations at the same place i bought my dress. Do you not want to use the shop you bought your dress from?

Im not sure where you live and how far away you are from Shirley... BUT I know an amazing seamstress... She is from Rico's in Center Moriches but she does wedding dresses out of her house.. very old fashioned and does an amazing job... She is really fast also... Itll only take her like a week or 2 the most... And her prices are really good.... If you are interested call Ricos Clothing in Center Moriches and ask to speak with Maria.. HTH!!!!

My dress is from a shop in my parents town in Colorado. I'd love to go back there to do it but that won't happen lol
