FH and I live out of state but we're getting married on LI. Where do I get my dress? Is it easier to get it here, then ship it or bring it on the plane with me? or get somewhere on LI and fly in for alterations? I'm kind of nervous about shipping it or carrying it on a plane with me.
Any suggestions?

are you close to a david's bridal? if that is close by, i'd do that.

Thats a tough call. Do you visit LI often? I mean two mths before your wedding will you be in the area like 3-4 times? I think I rather transport the dress - even if I pay for a seat on the plane - bc the last thing in all the chaos I want to do is worry about getting on a plane for alterations.

Hey! I'm planning from out of state too... I got my dress in LI since I figured I'd be going back and forth for a million other things anyway...
I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa -- they were great!
