My mom waited until the absolute last minute. We just past the 6 week mark and went looking this past weekend. She actually found a dress she loved at My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck, but they just called her and told her it would be more money then what they originally said and I told her to cancel the order and we would keep looking.
We also tried SugarPlum which is where she usually gets all her dresses, but this time around they had a very slim selection in her size.
So, we need suggestions on more places to look.

We found a few nice selections at Lord and Taylor in Manhattan... But my mom no longer likes the dress that she bought, so we may have to keep looking.
Don't bother going to RK, their quality for MOB was terrible.

Did you try the JC Penney catalog? I know it's not a typical place to look for the MOB Dress but they really have a great selection and they can get it to you ASAP...My Mom just got hers there and it was beautiful!!!

Totally You on Merrick Rd. My mom got her dress there and its beautiful and she walked out with it that day (she didn't need alterations). And they carry all the accessories too.

second for totally you--my mother got her dress there and they have plenty to choose from.
My mother also found a dress she loved at my daughters wedding in greatneck but they were a little bit out of her price range,, beautiful stuff though.

Third for totally you, my mom ordered her dress there and it came in so fast - I think like 2 weeks. She also went to Sugarplums and said that they were snotty b*****es and had only one dress to show her.

My mother also looked at Totally You and Blanchees and really was impressed with their selection and service. I think she's going to go with a dress she tried on at Totally You.

There is also Queen of Hearts in Merrick on Merrick Avenue - they were nice too but I think it is plus sizes.

We went to Totally You today and not only did my mom get a dress, but shoes, earings, and a handbag - all from there. Then I took her to Miriam's to get new undergarments to wear under it. Big day - she's all done! Gee - she's better than me now, I don't even have my jewlery yet.
