I am getting married in Southampton, and am staying in East Hampton. I do not visit the Hamptons often so I have no idea where to go for hair and makeup. Thank you for all suggestions.

Kevin Maple Salon on Jobs Lane is where I go when I'm out there. My mom loves it too. There is also a place called La Carreza (sp) on windmill lane which I have heard good things about as well. There is a beauty salon at the Omni, where the Jitney leaves from, but I have not heard anything good or bad about it.
Where in SH are you getting married??? I'm a SH bride too!

I called JN awhile ago and she said she won't travel that far, although I'm getting married in Montauk. She might do East Hampton, you could ask. I'd recommend La Carrezza on Windmill Lane. Up-dos and Make-up are $60 each. There's also a Aveda spa in Bridgehampton, although I've never been there. There's also Special effects in Easthampton, my mom goes to Denise and loves her. Let me know if you need more info, I live in the area. Dawn

Re: Where to go for hair and makeup in Hamptons?
Anyone know where to go in Westhampton? Salon 2000 doesn't have a make-up artist for trial on the weekends! and The Bath & Tennis charges some ridiculous amount like $125 just for a hair trial (okay, I may be exaggerating but its not far from the truth). I'm pretty sure its $350 for day of...HELP!

La Carezza raised prices!! I have brochure in front of me..It's 75+up for BM hair, $100 for Bride, and at least $75 for makeup

I'd STAY AWAY from the salon at Gurney's. VERY expensive and they did a terrible job on my hair when I was out there.

OMG!!!!! I just went for my trial at gurney's on Mon, It was HORRIBLE, I left there wanting to cry. And that was just a trial! The hair wasn't that bad, but the make-up was hideous. I was almost to embarressed to go food shopping afterwards. A five year old could have done a better job. It's good to hear someone else say that, and it's not just me.

I was brave and had my hair highlighted there while I was vacationing in Montauk for a week. Not only was I there for about 5 hours, but I left looking HIDEOUS!! I could not believe a place with such a big name would do such a cra**y job!

Re: Where to go for hair and makeup in Hamptons?
I guess maybe people on vacation don't usually spend the time getting there hair done. They use mostly the spa services. But they should have people there that kind of know what there doing. I left thinking I just spent $200+ on this????

Check out Fay Teller in Bridgehampton..is right by the Bridgehampton Florist. I had an updo when I went to a wedding in October, it looks great, but it cost $$75.00....when they quoted $50....they also do makeup---I think its $50, but I have never had it done there...one of my BM has, and it looked nice....

Hi there!
Just wanted to recommend Water's Edge Salon in Amagansett. Janet did my hair and a few girls in the wedding party. They had 3 other stylists there and we all loved our hair. I also had my makeup done and LOVED it! I only wish I could do it everyday!
