My mom made her dress and my MIL found hers at Lydia's in Copiague. They always have gorgeous dresses in the window. I have to look everytime I am in the area.

Another vote for Sugar Plum in Lynbrook. Their dresses were very unique and gorgeous and my mom is VERRRRRY picky. The attendants were very helpful as well. My mom's dress is just STUNNING!! I wish I had a pic. Another place is Totally You in Bellmore. They had great prices. ETA- Grandma did very well in Totally You, just in case anyone needs Grandma dresses

Re: Where to go for Mom's Dress?
My mother, grandmother and 2 great aunts all got their dresses at Totally You in Merrick - they raved about the selection and service - my mom searched high and low and just thought they had a great selection at reasonable prices - good luck!

My mom also went to Sugarplum in Lynbrook and she looked great! MIL went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa--they have a whole separate store area for Moms.
