I was originally planning on having my e-party at my house this summer, but all of the work involved in having it here is too overwhelming! Does anyone have any recommendations on where i could have it that is nice and not expensive? Is there such place on Long Island that is not expensive?

Re: Where to have an e-party?
I wanted to find a place too (cause I didn't want to wait till summer, we got engaged in December) but everything just seemed too expensive, so we are having an e-party in my parent's backyard in June.

Re: Where to have an e-party?
I had mine at the bulldog in amityville! They have an upstairs that is nie with a bar and a patio if you do in when it is nice outside. I don't think you could have a DJ... not really that type of party place, but there are couches for a semi lounging area. We did it buffet style and let people sit where they wanted! It was nice that some people were at the bar (a big football game was on, but FI didn't stay there), some people were sitting by one couch the others by a grouping of comfy chairs and then some at tables. Their food is great and if you do go there... ask for Jimmy! He is awesome! Hope this helped. It is right off rte 110 on Maontauk Highway. It is owned by the lessings!

We're having ours at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. We visited a lot of spots, and they had the best to offer. A KOC hall is prob your 'cheapest' best.
Where on LI are you looking?

I was going to suggest Pompei also. I knoe 2 people that had 3 parties there, 1 was and e-party and 2 were showers. I checked them out for our e-party, price was good, but our date was not available.

The K Of C in Oceanside is really beautiful and at such a wonderful price. It's more like a catering hall actually. I also looked into having the e party on The Nautical Mile (in Freeport). We are having ours during the summer and personally I was looking for an 'oustisde' feel. We are going to be having it at The Long Beach Fire Dept. They have a great outdoors that overlooks the bay. Anyway, many places on the Nautical Mile are actually very reasonably priced.
