So I was originally planning on moving the party to the hotel which is La Quinta in Garden City but they still dont have their liquor license and if we wanted to do that we would have to bring our own liquor to the hotel and party in the lounge area in the lobby. Im not sure about this so I just want to cover my bases. Does anyone know where I could bring the party after the wedding at Jericho Terrace thats also close to the hotel?

hmmm, im trying to think. We originally were gonna do the La Quinta thing too, but with the no liquor license, and when I brought fh there...he was like, this is not a bar lol..theres no music...our friends would be way too rowdy for this lobby lol. So im at a loss also...i also might just be too tired to party more

Does Mirage have any seperate rooms that can be booked out? Im looking for music, more dancing, but more in a private atmosphere.

They have like roped off vip sections like most clubs...but there is also a vip room upstairs that maybe they could make private for you. Im not sure if they would charge you to do something like that...but you could ask. There vip sections are big enough though that if you have a lot of people, it could probably be all your own. hth!

Re: Where to move the party after the wedding?
we're booked at a Holiday Inn Express (Happauge), where they have a banquet room that you can rent overnight for $200. They have no bar or liquor license, but you can bring whatever you want and it's a private room. I'm very psyched for this! They also have a shuttle from the hall to the hotel, as long as you are booking 10+ rooms.
I would call around and try to find a hotel that has a rentable overnight banquet room.

Ours had the same thing when I booked! I booked when they were the Wingate Inn but then they changed over to La Quinta and los their license! It stinks because we got the free shuttle but now if we have to move the party people are going to have to drive. I might just cancel the whole after party idea.

Well, when I spoke to them a week and a half ago, they said in the middle of January. I called today and they still dont have it. I asked if they thought they would get it before Feb. and she couldnt tell me. It really *****. I would have had my guests stay somewhere else if they would have told me. They never even told me the hotel was changing names after I booked it. Im really annoyed.
