Where to purchase Groom Cake?

I wanted to get my FI a cake for the rehearsal dinner...he likes superman so I was thinking the superman S logo. I called the bakery I love and they quoted me $225 for a cake like that to feed 20 people! No way, right? Does anyone know of a place where I can get this cake for way less?

$225 seems like a reasonable price for a custom cake. Most bakeries I know charge a lot more

the cake I got for FH was more but it's to feed 30. I'm getting a wrestling cake for him from cakes by Mona.

I got a construction helmet. They told me it feeds 25 and we had 30 people and leftovers. I paid about $150 (I don't remember exact price).
I got my cake from Front Street Bakery in Rockville Centre.

I think $225 is a lot for what you want and the size.

I got my husband a Batman grooms cake for our rehearsal from rolling pin bakery in bay shore. To feed 20 people, it cost me $165. It was perfect and absolutely delicious! I'll fm you a pic if you want when I get home.

call alpine in smithtown or create a cake in port jeff but i would leans more towards alpine absolutly delish!!!

im getting my FH a cake from the cake gallery in bellmore, and it's like 275 for 30 people.. i think that's about right.. but if it's just the S logo then i could see why others on here think that's alot... the 275 that i'm paying is for stacked weights with a towel, waterbottle, and ipod with headphones laying on top, so it's more detailing that I'm paying for

Try Rolling Pin Bakery in Bay Shore or Audrey's Bakery in Sayville. The price sounds about right, but if it is a simple 'S' logo without much detailing, I'm sure you could get it cheaper elsewhere.

This! She had the best price I found (much less than your quote) and the final product was AMAZING. See my RD cake album for a picture. Not only was it super cute and detailed, it was one of the tastiest cakes I've ever had.

I have contacted Marcie's for my fiance's 'Dawn of the Dead' themed cake. She has been great to work with so far and quoted less than $200. Really hoping it comes out good!
