Where to Register

Hey Ladies,

I am going to register this weekend. I am thinking of registering at Macy's, but I am wondering is there a difference between BB&B and Linens N Things

Not sure about the difference between BB&B and Linens n things, but we registered at BB&B and they have wonderful things! We had a blast! Check out their websites to get an idea of what they have so you can compare

Macy's has a lot of perks - I'm very happy with our registry with them!

Also - Pampered Chef has one too - a lot of really great kitchen gadgets!!!

Re: Where to Register

I always wanted to register at macys but it was just overwhelming. I wound up doing Fortunoff Bed Bath & beyond & Target (my mother made me, but they actually have a lot of good stuff)

Re: Where to Register

We registered at BBB, Macys and Crate & Barrell. You should definetly check out each stores website before you go to register, this way you can get a better idea of what's out there. Have fun registering!!!

Re: Where to Register

I personally think BBB is more convenient ..depends on where most of the family is from. Plus big plus they give out those 20% off coupons like every month and CASH back for all items on your registry that you return - no questions asked.

Re: Where to Register

we are OOT and our family and friends are scattered across the country and BB&B turned out to be more convenient for us than LNT. The best registration experience I had was at Crate and Barrel though - SO easy. Definitely check it out.

Re: Where to Register

We are doing Fortunoff and Macy's-
actually going tomorrow to Macy's with my mom to register....FH doesn't want to go
If Ihad to pick between BBB & LNT...I would pick BBB

Re: Where to Register

BBB gives cash back on returns (not that you will have many since you will register for things you want)- but, say you register for china and only get 2 place settings, you can return them and buy something else.

I had a registry at Macys but changed it because they were discontinuing like 60% of the stuff I wantedm, but Bloomies still has it!

I was going to register at BBB and Macy's, but I noticed everything I would have registered for at Macy's was also carried by BBB but for less - except when Macy's has sales, then the prices are equal. BBB even carries fine china.

Good luck!

Re: Where to Register

no offense to anyone who registered at Linens n things but it was the BIGGEST waste of time for me ... It was so unorganized ... i ended up cancelling that registry and going with BBB - sooo much better and everyone in the store was very helpful unlike LIT, they just looked at me funny when I asked to register for my wedding not to mention that I waited about 45 minutes when there was no one in the store so they could finish folding towels

go with MACYs and BBB!

ETS :
also, at BBB you can return for cash (if you get something you dont like or wasnt on your registry) and with Linens I know its ususally store credit!

Re: Where to Register

When registering at Macy's be sure to link your registry to a (your) Macy's account because you will earn rewards and about 5 months after your wedding they will send you a gift card. Its awesome.

I would go with BBB over linnen's n things, but i think that they are similar and its just a personal preference.

Re: Where to Register

I would definitely recommend looking into what's most convenient for your guests as well. I know alot of people shop online nowadays, but some people still like to go to the store. If most of your guests are from a certain area and there's only a BBB there and not a LNT (or vice versa) then choose that one.
That being said, did you know that you can use LNT coupons at BBB? My best friend used to work at LNT part-time and she said they accepted them all the time, at least then.... So that's good news!
