I was wondering where all 2012 brides were registering. I just finished our registry for Bed Bath and Beyond. I heard Macy's has a horrible return process (currenntly, we are renting a house but hope to be in a house in the summer). There is always William & Sonoma. I feel that Bed Bath and Beyond have the same things. HELP!!!

Re: Where to register?
I will register at BBB and Macys. I would love to register at Williams Sonoma but it's pretty $$$ and I'm sure no one will buy off of it for me

Re: Where to register?
we had a bbb & macys registry and had no problems at all with returns at either. i loved the macys perk of getting a percentage back in the form of a giftcard bc after our wedding we got almost a $400 gift card!
i agree that williams and sonoma is pricey and also not as many store locations (at least not in queens)....but if there is stuff you want put it. i also think its ok to only have one registry

Re: Where to register?
I think I'm doing Bed Bath & Beyond &/or Macys. I can see it being a pain in the rear to registry so I may stop at one LOL

Re: Where to register?
I did Macy's and will be doing BBB this weekend. I think two gives people more options.

Re: Where to register?
I am doing one small registry at macy's. i hope to get gifts off it for my shower, but FH and i aren't publicising it for the wedding. if people ask, we will tell them, but we dont have a house and are probably moving to scottsdale within a year after the wedding so we don't really NEED anything at the moment. we would rather get money.

Re: Where to register?
We just did BBB b/c we don't need alot ---just some 'everyday' stuff...although BBB has alot of the fine china/wedding giftware now.

Re: Where to register?
Bloomingdales has an excellent return policy and customer service. We registered for our 'fancy' things like china there, and everyday things at BBB. Worked out great!

Re: Where to register?
Macy's and BBB. Macy's is great because you get 5% back from everything your guests buy you, and 10% back on everything you spend on your Macy's card, all in the form of a gift card!!!
It was important to us to pick two stores that often provide coupons, discounts, etc. We also wanted it to be easy for our guests. You can beat those two stores for those very reasons.
We went to williams sonoma but walked out - it was small, crowded, and we figured out that we could get basically all the same stuff at macys. :)

Re: Where to register?
We did BBB and then recently added in Amazon. This works out great cause anything we couldn't find that we really liked in stores you can always find something on amazon!

Re: Where to register?
we registered at BBB & Macys. Macys has a wonderful return policy and if you sign up with your star rewards card/points you get a percentage back of all the money people spend on you!!!!!!! we made out like bandits, getting almost $600 back!

Re: Where to register?
My fiance and I registered at Macy's. We're considering registering at target for board and card games. But when we did walk through the housewares section at Target, we saw the same and/or similar products from Macy's for much cheaper. Just as an example, a $35 pitcher from Macy's was $12.99 at Target - and it was the same exact pitcher, same brand, same style, same everything! So we may end up with more than just board games from Target.
We're in the same situation as Ker1398 and are planning to move shortly after marriage. But, we could really use furniture more than that pitcher and the like. Macy's has limited products. I'm thinking of going to a local business and/or checking out some of the unconventional registeries online. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions on where to register for furniture?
I'm writing about negotiating with a local furniture business on the blog, MBA Bride. Please share your thoughts!

Re: Where to register?
We are registered at BBB and Macy's. I may do a small registry at Pottery Barn as it gets closer.
