Now that I've got my dress, I need to find BM dresses ASAP! Where should I start looking? I'd like to keep the cost under $150, I don't think my girls can afford more! A lot of them already have to pay for a hotel, so I don't think it's fair to make them pay $200 for a dress they won't wear again in all likelihood. Any places with a good selection under $150???

David's has some really nice ones and they are always having sales. I just would not do the alterations there because I hear they are a lot of $$

Re: Where to start looking for BM dresses?
alterations are outrageous everywhere! my poor MOH just spend 200 on alterations alone! Granted it was in the city but still, that is bananas!!!
I LOVE JENNY YOO for BM dresses. Mine are long and they were close to 300 but they have SO many that it is probably worth skimming the website. Also, FH made a donation towards each of the dresses to bring it down to 250. We paid directly to Jenny Yoo so the girls saw an even balance. If you can swing something like that your options might open significantly...

David's is cheap, try any bridal store..or estelles dressy dresses! I was there for the first time and I found these gorgeous dresses and they were only 80. I'm really thinking about using them if my other dress isn't available! (I called a place that had them and they said they sold their last sample, so I'm getting nervous!)

I would say try Davids, J Crew, Ann Taylor (they all have bridesmaids lines). I took a gamble with my bridesmaids & had them order from dresscodeformal.com and I ended up loving the outcome.

Alexandra's Boutique in Forest Hills has a great selection of BM dresses from a lot of different designers. My girls dresses came out to $157 total before alterations (which are actually not done there - you'd have to go somewhere else).

We are getting ours from David's as well. I felt they had the lowest price.

I saw so many dresses over $200 but ended up finding a dress I love and the salon had a sale. Definitely shop around!
I did see our date is close to one another. Basically I was told no later then December to order! So get shopping!
