FH and i stayed at the venetian around christmas time a few years ago and it was so beautifully decorated! The bellagio was really nice but its an older crowd. We are going after the wedding and staying at Mandalay Bay because they have the best pools!

Hard Rock - AWESOME!!!! great pool, lots of young people, very few if any kids.....far from the strip so taxis to go up to the strip are expensive $130ish/night

New York New York - LOVED IT!!!! great bars and restaurants better location but still far from the main action on the strip....not a good pool $120ish/night

Monte Carlo - great location, good pool, but the casino and the overall feel was a little old....RIGHT NEXT to the city center construction site!!!!! $100ish/night

My next hotel will be Planet Hollywood.......my parents stayed at the Rio and loved it, good pool but off strip...however they have free shuttles that take you up to the strip

HTH!

In June I'm staying at the Flamingo. I haven't been to Vegas yet but I hear it's best to stay on the strip.

I have stayed at MGM, Luxor, and Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo has the best location out of the three, but I am going in Vegas and staying at Planet Hollywood. It is right in the middle of everything. IMO It is one of the newer hotels. I absolutely love it!!!

I have stayed at the monte carlo and it is a very nice hotel, great location. However I do agree the casino crowd is a little on the older side.

I've only stayed at the Venetian when I tagged along with FH on his business trips and that hotel is awesome, but not cheap., although I've heard that the prices have come down a lot because of the economy. The Wynn and the Bellagio looked nice.

The Wynn is sick but expensive. I think the Mandalay Bay is a great hotel for a bachelor party. It has a ton of pools and it draws a lot of younger, bachelor party crowds.

We stayed at the MGM Grand for New Year's and have 0 complaints - we loved it! Plus, you get to see the lions.

stayed at MGM grand. Right in the middle of it all. Nice hotel with nice to nicer to nicest rooms (depends on $$). We were happy with just the least expensive option.

If you can afford it, treat yourself to this at Planet Hollywood:
* Strip Suites at $129 per night
850 square feet with pool or Strip views; each with an oversized soaking tub, a separate seating area and original Hollywood memorabilia

* Panorama Suites at $199 per night
1-bedroom, 1255-square-foot suites with 180-degree views of The Strip; each has a 52-inch plasma TV, a double-door foyer entrance, a parlor, 2 baths and original Hollywood memorabilia

I have stayed at the Luxor, which is the one shaped as a pyramid. It was really good, i don't have any complaints.

We stayed at the Hardrock and even though it is not on the strip i recomend it to all! It a young crowd AWESOME pool and the rooms were nice. U have to take a taxi to the strip but its only like 10 buck not bad. If you want to stay on the strip my next choice would be mandalay bay! Whereever u stay your going to have a great time any way... :)

Hard Rock!!!! Thats where I always stay and I am staying there in June for my bachelorette party. Hard Rock is where you want to stay if you want to party with younger crowd. They also have Rehab on Sundays and BOdy English, which are both really great! Plus....the beds are sooooo comfortable!!!
