Where to store my preserved wedding gown

Just picked up my dress from the Dry Cleaners where I got it preserved. They did a beautiful job and I am very happy with the presentation...but the box is HUGE!!! Absolutely enormous!

You cant store the box in the attic or basement because of moisture..where do you ladies plan on storing yours?

Unless you have a large walk in closet...I dont see storing this in the closet either.

mom mom used to have it in a crawl space in our house but now it's in the garage (and has been for the last 4 years).

i think after 30 years, we'll all probably stop caring.

I actually wanted to try to sell my gown but hubby wouldnt let me do it...guess he is more sentimental than I am...I think he may reconsider when he sees the size of this box!

Yeah, i want to sell mine but I'm probably going to end up waiting a while before I do so. If you want to sell it and your dh won't agree...tell him you're going to do this to it....right in the middle of your hallway...see if he changes his mind

I wish I had Adrienne's house, then I would def have mine hanging just like her! LOL When I saw that episode of RHOBH, I loved that her dress was on permanent display

Could you imagine???!! That dress display would take up my entire apartment

my cousin put hers on her dresser surrounded by her DOJ and pictures... it was basically on display. I was going to do this... but I don't think I'll be having mine preserved. its sitting at the bottom of the garment bag in my office closet, out of site, out of mind kinda thing.

actually.. on saturday when i go to have my nails done i'll stop in at the cleaners and ask, the woman there does it and i remember her saying she was the cheapest around.

What are the average costs for preserving your gown? Does it depend on your gowns material (ex: beads, lace, vs. sheath)?

Mine is stll in the garment bag over my mothers house and she's always throwning hints about me selling it to get it out of her closet
